Terence Blanchard will headline the 18th annual Jazz Under the Stars concert
Grammy award-winning jazz trumpeter Terence Blanchard will headline the 18th annual Jazz Under the Stars concert, planned for 7 p.m. May 7 on the Harkness Hall quad at Clark Atlanta University. A film score composer whose soundtrack credits include “Mo’ Better Blues,” “Malcolm X,” “When the Levees Broke,” and “The Princess and the Frog,” Blanchard will perform along with members of the CAU Jazz Vocal Ensemble and the Jazz Orchestra. The event will benefit the CAU Guild, which has raised nearly $2 million in scholarships since 1992. Tickets start at $60 each, and sponsorships are available.
